Antelope Express Train Ride
Take a ride on the Antelope Express to explore our large savanna, complete with zebras, deer, waterbuck, and gibbons! You'll also view exotic cats, birds, primates, and a few other surprises!
- Hours may vary and are weather dependent, call for most up-to-date schedule.
- Location: The Safari Depot is located between the Jungle Lodge Playground and the Petting Zoo.
- Cost: $2.00 per person 3 years of age and older per ride
- Included with the VIP and Hungry Hippo Passport packages!
"Zoo Live" Animal Show
Enjoy this new educational and highly entertaining show in the Zoo's all-new Zootorium! Animals will show off their natural abilities on stage. The audience will learn about wildlife, conservation, and animals here at the Zoo!
- Show has set times and caters to field trip groups
- Location: The Zootorium is located in a brand-new area of the Zoo! (take a right after the African Lion habitat)
- Cost: $2.00 per person 3 years of age and older per show
- Included with the VIP and Hungry Hippo Passport packages!
Jungle Lodge Playground
Feast your eyes on the largest playground set in Louisiana by Backyard Adventures! It includes slides, crawls tubes, rock walls, hideouts, bridges, and so much more! Did we mention that it is chock-a-block full of fun and adventure? Well, it is! This enormous fortress of unlimited fun is now open!.
- Location: The playground is located between the Safari Depot and the Critter Cafe'.
- Free for all Zoo guests ages 12 years and younger.
Butterfly Room
Walk through our new static display of colorful and beautiful butterflies and moths. These specimens have been collected over the last several decades (some are more than 100 years old!) and are on display for Zoo guests to enjoy in a climate-controlled, comfortable museum setting.
- Hours will vary and caters to field trip groups.
- Location: Next door to the Safari Train Depot
- Free for all Zoo guests.
