A.D.O.P.T. an ANIMAL!

The A.D.O.P.T. Program at the Zoo of Acadiana is a unique program that is sure to please! Animals can be adopted at any level in one year intervals. The monetary contributions made to animal go towards the animal's care, enrichment, and exhibit enhancements. Any animal currently at the Zoo can be adopted and each animal can have more than one adopted parent! The animals do need to stay at their Zoo homes, though! This adoption program has adoption levels to fit any budget!

$25 - Adoption Certificate, Animal Photo, and Acknowledgement of your adoption on our A.D.O.P.T. Board at the Zoo!

$50 - All of the above plus an exclusive animal fact sheet about your particular adopted animal!

$100 - All of the above plus two Zoo passes and your name added to our mailing list!

$200 - All of the above plus a chance to assist a keeper in feeding your adopted animal in an up-close encounter*!

$500 - All of the above plus a Free Zoo Membership or Membership Renewal**!

$1,000 - All of the above plus an exclusive behind the scenes tour of the Zoo and special exhibits and permanent signage placed at the animal’s exhibit!

(* Adopters will assist a keeper in placing the food at the animal’s exhibit but will not actually be in contact with the animal. The adopter will get to observe the animal and animal’s exhibit from behind the scenes.)
